Broadcasting from church top tips

Taking church online has presented a number of new opportunities and technological challenges. As churches reopen their buildings and host services with congregations once more, a new missional horizon presents itself. Streaming services has gone from being a luxury item to a necessity for many churches. Parish Giving Scheme Stories

The Parish Giving Scheme is an established planned giving scheme for churches that was launched across the Diocese of Leeds in January 2020. Here are some short testimonies from church members across our diocese, who explain how the scheme has helped them with their church finances and giving.

Church of England Harvest Festival Service

Bishop of Ripon, the Rt Revd Dr Helen-Ann Hartley leads the Church of England Digital Harvest Service, reflecting on climate change, farming and the beauty of nature. During the service she is joined by members of St John's Church in Sharrow and we hear reflections from Yorkshire Dales farmers and a painter based in the Ripon area.

Re-Imagining Ministry in the Church

We are not returning to the 'same old, same old' we are Re-Imagining the Church. Here is a webinar for the Diocese of Leeds featuring Sophie Jelley (Bishop of Doncaster), Philip North (Bishop of Burnley) and Robin Gamble (Diocese of Leeds Adviser for Church Growth). This is a joint venture between the diocesan communications and church growth teams including 4 talks on: dynamic worship, connecting with our communities, prophetic impact and renewed commitment to evangelism.

Holy Trinity Boar Lane

Sam Corley, the Rector of Leeds, shares a short update about the exciting progress being made to Holy Trinity, Boar Lane. It is hoped works, to help create a new place of worship and prayer for the centre of Leeds, will be complete towards the end of the year. Diocese of Leeds Sudan Special Appeal for Relief

The Diocese of Leeds has launched an emergency appeal to support our brothers and sisters in Sudan. We are asking for funds for emergency food and supplies for those across the country who rely on the church for support or survival. Diocesan Intern Scheme

The Leeds Diocesan Internship scheme is an amazing opportunity to explore more of what it means to be a disciple of Christ and to serve his church. It is designed to equip you for life, work and leadership. The scheme runs from September to July and involves practical placements, training and community living.
