Leeds School of Ministry

Across the Diocese of Leeds there are plenty of exciting opportunities through Leeds School of Ministry to grow in faith as well as to develop our skills and gifts in order to serve God and all God's people within and beyond the Church. These range from one-off events to more sustained courses.

In addition to courses offered at deanery-level, a variety of training opportunities are organised in Episcopal Areas and diocesan-wide inlcuding online learning that can be undertaken independently or within a taught course. Leeds School of Ministry provides two training hubs for Licensed Lay Ministry (previously known as Readers) through Common Awards (Durham Univeristy) at Bingley in The Trinity Centre and in Mirfield, at The Mirfield Centre. The Lay Training Officers provide local training within Deaneries for commisisoned ministries, such as Lay Worship Leaders and Lay Pastoral Ministers, for the whole of our diocese. For more information on the full range of our courses head to the Digital Learning Platform
