The Diocese of Leeds is unique in having three cathedrals in one diocese.
This gives us three centres of worship and learning, three vibrant powerhouses of Christian mission, three historic civic institutions, three rich sources of heritage, and three visitor attractions.
As we're situated at three key points in our large diocese (see map), we have wonderful opportunities to encounter the people who live and work and worship here and to inspire all generations to engage with the richness of the Christian faith and its heritage.
Together, we work with the Bishop of Leeds, area bishops, the diocese and the wider church, to be a spiritual focus for West Yorkshire and the Dales and beyond and to support mission in this part of the country.
Together, we seek to be a beacon of hope for the people of our region and beyond.
Together, we welcome you.
In Bradford, this ancient site of prayer continues to be a place where all are warmly welcomed. For over thirteen hundred years there has been a Christian church on this site and today it stands to the glory of God as a sign of the presence of a Christian community who seek to express the love of God through hospitality, faithfulness and wholeness.
In Ripon, worship has taken place on the site of the Cathedral for 1350 years. The Cathedral includes the crypt of the first stone church in the north of England, built by St. Wilfrid in 672AD. Ripon Cathedral continues to be a vibrant, living church centred on the worship of God, the welcome of visitors and pilgrims, and Christian witness to the city, region and diocese. We want to develop as a key resource for mission for the parishes and communities of this part of the diocese.

In Wakefield, we seek to be a place of welcome, prayer, reflection conversation and celebration for people across the region and beyond. The recent makeover of the nave has attracted many more people through our doors and helped us understand what it means to be a church for the whole community.
